HCRS is hiring a SASH For All Peer Support Advocate to work closely with Windham & Windsor Housing Trust and Brattleboro Housing Partnership. $500 sign on bonus!

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to successfully perform this job:  

  • Lived experience and training to connect with people who experience who experience emotional, mental, and/or social crises
  • Excellent relational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to see multiple perspectives
  • Ability to participate in difficult or heavy conversations and be in proximity to people experiencing various kinds of distress
  • Ability to be a supportive and collaborative team member
  • Basic computer literacy

Principal Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Provide ongoing one-on-one support to SASH for All participants who want peer support services
  • Offer support to SASH for All participants who are in crisis or altered states
  • Support the development of mutual support networks and connections
  • Facilitate peer support groups as needed
  • Advocate with or on behalf of individuals for their expressed interests
  • Participate in data collection and documentation as needed
  • Give input on program design and approach
  • Attend HCRS Peer Support team meetings and trainings and participate in SASH for All team and partner meetings

Relationships:

The SASH for All Peer Support Advocate will be supervised by the Peer Support Team Leader and will also maintain close working relationships with partners from Brattleboro Housing Partnership and Windham and Windsor Housing Trust.
