Introducing our Prospective Board Members and Bidding Farewell to Members

Detailed information will be posted by June 10th.

We are excited about this list of prospective board members. They each bring tremendous background, expertise, and perspectives that will add capacity to our work. Click on the names to get to know a little about each member. In addition to electing new members, the membership will be voting on term renewals for 3 current board members (two resident board members, one general community member). The resident seats are elected only by resident members.

We will also be bidding farewell to wonderful board members who have completed their terms. Leo, Victor, Carol, Dora, and Kayenta will be recognized at the celebration for their years of dedication at the leadership level.

Voting members are residents of Windham & Windsor Housing Trust Properties including renters and shared equity homeowners as well as active donors.

Public Service Nominations: Caroline Trevarrow & Kaci Viado

Caroline Trevarrow

Caroline Trevarrow Luna is a vocational counselor with HireAbility. As a counselor, she sees financial stability as a source of empowerment that allows individuals to identify and grow towards their goals. Caroline has been working in the human services field since 2018, in other roles including housing case management, family therapy and crisis stabilization.

Caroline is originally from Ipswich, Massachusetts. She fell in love with living in Vermont when she attended University of Vermont. After college, she worked in crisis stabilization for Northeastern Family Institute. She transitioned to housing case management in 2020, for ANEW place. Here she learned about the impacts of housing instability, particularly intensified by the pandemic. She also gained an initial understanding of housing policy, impacts on housing availability and housing retention practices.

In 2021/2022, Caroline attended her first year of her MSW program at the University of Maryland Baltimore. A highlight of this program was the Housing and Homelessness Policy course, that provided insight into state and federal policies that impact housing access, as well as how other countries approach this issue.

Caroline returned to Vermont in 2022 moving to Brattleboro, after missing the mountains and trees. She started her work at HireAbility. Since, she has set roots here, buying a home in Dummerston and a dog to keep her busy. She completed her master’s degree in clinical counseling at Salve Regina University in 2026. When out of the office, you may see Caroline elbow deep in clay at the pottery studio, doting on her dog or playing board games.

Kaci Viado

Kaci Viado is the Director of Restorative Justice Programs at Interaction, where they lead programs centered on restorative practices and building relationships that support accountability, healing, and community connection. Her work reflects a deep commitment to navigating conflict in ways that make space for both support and joy.

She brings experience in program development, systems coordination, and community engagement, and previously served as a Community Member-at-Large for the Westgate Board. Kaci is also nominated as a 2026 Southern Vermont Emerging Leader.

Kaci approaches board service as an opportunity to be in-service to the community while continuing to learn alongside others. She values collaboration, curiosity, and building strong, responsive systems.

Outside of work, Kaci enjoys board games (even Monopoly!), knitting and crocheting, and has recently returned to community theater.
